Daniel Millisock is a poet, storyteller, artist, and creative force with a singular mission: to speak truth clearly, without compromise. Raised in an Air Force family in Aviano, Italy, Daniel spent eight unforgettable years immersed in European culture. From Verona—home of Romeo and Juliet—to the small towns of Pordenone, Cordenons, and Aviano. His childhood was filled with experiences that left a permanent mark. He remembers field trips to Venice and Rome, drifting along gondolas, watching master glassblowers shape fire into art, feeding birds in energetic piazzas, and waking up to the smell of fresh-baked bread.

But it wasn’t just sightseeing, it was living. Daniel and his family weren’t stationed overseas; they embraced it. They played on local sports teams, learned the rhythms of Italian life, and built lasting bonds with other military families. These stories, however, too often go untold. The community of Military brats is rich with memories and achievements that deserve to be remembered. Daniel’s mission is to bring those stories to life. For those who grew up overseas, the narrative is familiar: as children, we longed for life “back in the States”. Yet as adults, we find ourselves aching for friendships, the culture, and the adventures we once had abroad. Those experiences shaped us in ways we can never forget.
